Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue

For my 4th of July, I went with the BFF to Fort Payne, AL. Her cousin Alan, his wife and their 4 children live there. Also meeting us, her Uncle and Aunt from North Carolina and a few other people :) They were the sweetest people ever and welcomed me with open arms! We had such a great time. We rode with her mom and dad up there on a Friday afternoon. Got there at about 7 or 8 that night and got to eat Greek food. Samantha did an AMAZING job! So delicious! We went back to our hotel that night and the next day we spent the entire day there. They live on a mountain and it is seriously gorgeous. We ate, rode on the go-cart, played with Hannah, watched an AMAZING backyard firework show, celebrated birthday's and played a little Wii :) It was seriously an awesome time. The weather was insanely perfect! I had to call Nicole because we were only 1.5 hours away from each other. Sucks I could not see her, but at least we were close. haha....some pics....

We went home that Sunday and my family was having a cookout that day. I got back just in time for it. There were about 40 people there. My family is huge and I love everything about it. My Uncle Jim cooked out hamburgers, hotdogs, BBQ, ribs.....and so much more. We ate and ate and it was ALL delicious. It was so nice being able to spend time with my family, whom I love SO much! All in all this was an amazing 4th of July.

But let's not forget why we celebrate this day. Thank you to all soldiers, past, present and future who defend our freedom every single day. You are the true hero's and I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

In the truest sense, freedom cannot be bestowed; it must be achieved. ~Franklin D. Roosevelt

There's A New Sheriff In Town

This will be a cluster blog of Brad's b-day, Eclipse premiere and helping Mr. Bill Oldham win for Sheriff! So we will start with Brad turning 30. Happy 30th Brad!!! Emily and I got a hotel room downtown that night so we did not have to drive home after drinking. (Arrive alive, don't drink and drive) So we stayed at the Hampton Inn and Suites at Beale Street. We got down there early and decided to drink a little vino as we got ready. Carrie (who is awesome) decided to buy Emily and I wine glasses that you could write on with chalk. YAY! So Emily was Starr and I was Taloolah...why? I don't know!

I love vino!

Thanks for the wine glasses Carebear!!!

So we hung out in the room for awhile and then decided to grace Brad with our faces. His fiesta was at Molly Fontaine's downtown. Which is a house....a haunted house. No, but for real. It was a bit creepy, not gonna lie. So we did that for awhile and then we went to Silky's. I love that place. I met Angel Garcia, who plays for UofM Basketball. He is tall!

Angel Garcia

So that was about it for Brad's b-day. Next was the Eclipse premiere. Yes, we are 12 years old and go to the midnight premiere's. Don't judge! It is a good time :) Well, we got there at 10:10ish I think. And there was already a line. So we were glad we left early! Well, we had to stand in line outside until 10:30. But the bonus...as soon as we went inside we got to go into the theater! Which is awesome, because at the New Moon premiere we had to wait in the lobby forever! The movie was great. I was exhausted, but it was worth it!

This photo is just amazing! Connie, Emily, Carrie and I waiting in line outside for Eclipse

Our ACB friends, we only see at Twilight premiere's haha

Connie and her hubby Tim

Now we will go to Bill Oldham for Sheriff. If you live in this city and are registered to vote (which everyone should be!) you should really go out and vote for Bill Oldham for Sheriff. Not just because I know him, but he truly is the best for the job! He had a fundraiser out at Justin Timberlake's new golf course in Millington, Mirimichi. It is seriously beautiful out there! We had so much fun and we even got to drink a little of JT's new tequila 901. And ride in his personal golf cart! :)

New York State Of Mind

Vacation day has finally arrived! We have been planning this trip for almost a year. My brother (Tony) moved to Boston a couple years ago, so we visit once a year. (Wish we could do it more often, but having jobs sucks sometimes haha) Along with him, my sister-in-law (Jennifer) who I adore, my nephews Noah and Jake and my niece Sophie. I miss them SO much but I really am quite excited they moved to such a cool part of the United States. My mom, best friend Emily and myself boarded the plane in Nashville on May 22 and flew to Boston. Thus beginning our 9 day vacation. We spent five nights with my brother and sister-in-law. We got to see my nephew Noah in a little Memorial Day skit at his school, we got to see him play some baseball, I got to hang out and just talk to Tony and Jennifer, go to the pool, shop at my favorite outlet store and Tony took us back to Maine. I am in love with Maine. One of the prettiest places I have ever been. But mostly in love with their Clam Chowder!

Maine

My mom, Emily and I went to Boston on the sixth day to spend some time there. The city is so cute. I loved being there and it was an absolute beautiful day. We went to Boston Common and also got a beer and lunch at Cheers :)

Cheers!

That night we met up with Tony, Jennifer and Noah to see the Red Sox game. Fenway is the most amazing place on earth! I fell in love. They did not win, but it did not even matter. One of the best nights ever!

After Boston, we took off the next morning on our train ride to NYC, where we would be spending the next three nights. In NYC we had SO much fun. We did a lot while we were there: we took the tour bus around to all the big sites, took the NBC studio tour, went to the Met, took a carriage ride, ate at Bobby Flay's place Mesa Grill, went to Serendipity, played at the wax museum, saw ground zero, went to see Sex and the City, walked Time Square, had brunch on the Upper West Side...we fit in as much as humanly possible!

Literally the best dessert ever....the Frozen Hot Chocolate from Serendipity (yes, like the movie)

My mom, Emily and I taking a carriage ride through Central Park.

I of course had to buy myself a little present :)

Well, that was about the whole trip but I have to put a couple more pictures up of my beautiful Sophie and handsome Jake.
