So...it has literally been almost a full year since I have blogged. Sad, I know. Well, my cousin (younger of course) got married this weekend. That would be it. As in I am the only one left in my family over the age of 16 that is not or has not been married. This news is not my absolute favorite thing to discuss but it's also not the worst. Yes I am 31. Yes I am single. No I do not have a boyfriend. Does that make me any less of a person? No, no it does not. I am a HAPPY girl. I get to go on vacations, I get to go out on weekends and act silly with my friends and yes, I still get to sleep past 10:00am sometimes. Does that make me lazy? Nope. It does however make it hard to recharge when the work week comes. haha.....no matter how much fun I have on a weekend my body is definitely not the same as it used to be. This is all coming up because nothing annoys me more than people saying, "Oh whens it your turn." Or...."When will we see you walking down the isle?" Or...my personal favorite.... "You're next!" Really? I have been hearing that for quite awhile now. haha I love my married friends and I know most are super happy and that honestly makes ME super happy. However, I am not a fan of married people that make you feel SUPER single. Not cool man, not cool at all. I will find my guy when the time is right. (I have this feeling since God is making me wait so long, this guy is going to be OH SO amazing haha) But until then, I am happy being me and living my life with my awesome friends (married and unmarried). I one day will have true love. And yes I know that exists because I was enormously blessed enough to see it in my mom and dad. That is the kind of love I want, and that is the kind of love I will wait for. The man (my dad), who after 25 years of marriage, still looked at his wife (my mom) and said "Gosh I love you more than anything," who held her hand, who said he loved her every single day multiple times. I have seen it and I know it exists. Soul mates are the real deal and I just haven't met mine yet. It'll happen when it's supposed to!

Haven't Met You Yet
Not gonna lie. I have never been a HUGE fan of Michael Buble. I mean I thought he was cute and I knew he could sing. But going to a concert would probably never have happened had it not been for Emily Ann Melonas. And I would like to thank her here and now for making me go. I am now 100% in love with Michael Buble. Not only is he an amazing singer, he is also incredibly hot and insanely hilarious. I can honestly say if he ever comes back here or within a 4 hour drive radius....I will be attending. If you ever get a chance to see him...GO! PS...go to my facebook page right now and watch the video of Home with him. Swoon!
Yes he is adorable
We were on the floor and he came by where we were sitting....SO close...SO happy!
No this is not with zoom!
I like to think he is thinking about how much he loves me in this picture.
When The Saints Go Marching In
NOLA. One of my absolute favorite cities. Myself and 4 of my wonderful friends all went down to NOLA Thursday May 26 - Sunday May 29 2011. Emily, Becca, Averill and I took the train down and may have started drinking at breakfast. But it was vacation so to each their own! We technically went down for Food and Wine Fest but the rest of the weekend was just as amazingly fun! Kate (our D.C. friend) flew down to meet us. We ate wonderful food, drank wonderful drinks and made lot's of fun memories. We are hoping to make this a tradition.
On the train down to NOLA
What do you do on your first night on Bourbon? Pat O's Hurricane of course!
The Best Friend and I our first night at Pat O's
Kate and I at Wine and Food Fest
Really, what is NOLA without Cafe Du Monde?
Best brunch in NOLA
I suppose all of us needed a little charm
Wine and Food Fest....literally worth every penny
100% the best drink I have ever had. It has Everclear and Bourbon in it but tastes just like a grape slushy.
So. Much. Fun.

Livin' On A Prayer
Bon Jovi. Easily my favorite artist of ALL time. Since I was about 5 years old I have been more than slightly obsessed with this band. I remember being 8 years old watching my sister and brother get ready to go to his concert. I was so jealous. My brother brought me back a play book and I kept that book for years. I have no idea where it is now. Wish I still had it but alas I do not. So years and years went by and I FINALLY got to see Bon Jovi live and in concert on Valentine's Day of 2006 in Nashville. Living in Memphis, you get used to artists coming to Little Rock, Nashville, New Orleans and St. Louis. But it is a bit rare for them to come to Memphis. Especially Bon Jovi. So, 22 years go by and they FINALLY come back to Memphis. All I saw was they were coming and I did not care how much I had to pay for a ticket (which ended up being the most I have EVER paid for a concert...but it was totally worth it). I went with my best friend Emily and we ended up getting to sit in a suite thanks to Barbara! It was an amazing concert! Sadly enough, Richie Sambora was unable to attend due to the fact he is in rehab....the guy that took his place was NO Richie Sambora but ehhh...he was okay. It was literally sold out. They even sold seats behind the stage. 31 years after starting Bon Jovi and they still know how to put on the best show ever.

Down In The Flood
Well....unless you live under a rock you have probably heard about this little flood we have over here in Memphis. Not just in Memphis but spanning many states. The river crested this morning in Memphis reading just short of 48 feet. Just a few pictures of what we have seen.

I Just Want To Celebrate
Went to Brittan's wedding on Saturday July 17, 2010. It was very pretty. She looked gorgeous. Her wedding was at Grace-St.Luke's and the reception was at the Pink Palace. The reception was a lot of fun. They had an amazing band. I got to talk to a couple people I had not spoken to in forever, Ben Knapp and Burke Hanson. Burke brought his girlfriend and she was SO sweet. I took my best friend, because I did not have a date. Thank God for girl friends!
